Induction/c section problems losing my mind!

long post and tmi warning

I have no idea what’s going on, I’ve spoken to doctors who treated it as a urine infection which it is not!

I had a cooks balloon induction 12 weeks ago. There was 5 different people shoving as my cervix was still so high up that they couldn’t even reach it to sweep. It was agony, and I was treated as less than an animal. In with the balloons, filled up and left for 12 hours.
No sign of baby making a move so they decided to do a section the following evening, after 26 hours of contracting.
Since having him I’ve had the most agonising pains. It’s like there’s a razor blade stuck up there and when it happens I can’t walk. I went to triage after 5 days, they felt my belly and then just told me my boobs were engorged, no mention. At 10 days I told them there’s something stuck so they saw me. After the section I was left with a catheter in for over 12 hours without emptying so that it had completely backed up. The result of this was a urine infection (possibly) and for whatever reason I’m not unable to tell when I need a wee and when I do go there’s a fair amount of rentention, so I needed another catheter that day and antibiotics.

Basically I’m at a total loss. They’re sending me for scans as if it’s urnary Tract because they won’t listen that it’s gynaecological! Has anyone any idea? I’m losing my mind, I’m stuck indoors after promising to take my eldest out because I cannot stand. I feel really hopless.

Hi MeAgain, I am so sorry, that sounds horrible. I don’t have any suggestions, though I guess they want to rule out UTI before investigating further?
It sounds like the induction was a bad experience... my obstetrician is pushing for a balloon induction for me at 39 weeks. Sounds like you wouldn’t recommend?!

@levithecat I’m sorry if I’ve put you off at all! They said the actual fitting of the balloons was just more painful because my cervix was so high up that they weren’t are whether to try it or not. My guess is not! My show came away and contractions started straight away, so if you’re closer then I’m sure it’s a great method! I’ve never known anyone else with it so I don’t know at all. Most women can go about their daily business with it in apparently but as I have health problems the wanted me to stay in. Just make sure they tape the tubes to your leg, was a nightmare having to pee with them dangling about lol. I’m sure it’ll be fine xx

Sorry MeAgain, I don’t want to derail your thread! I don’t actually want an induction, they want to do it at 38/39 weeks because of some past issues and hormone levels. Thank you so much for the info though, I haven’t found anyone who has had one...

Really hope someone comes along with some helpful advice for you x
