Anterior placenta

Hi! Advice wanted please.
I had my anomaly scan 3 weeks ago now and I've looked at my notes which say I have an anterior placenta. Nothing was mentioned to me about this but I've heard about how some women may experience back-to-back labour or even have to have a c-section due to this? I'm just a bit confused because nothing has been discussed with me about it.
Thanks x

I had an anterior placenta with my first. I did read (after the birth) that back to back is more common. I imagine that might make c-sections more common. I don’t think they talk about it because babies, regardless of placenta position, can be in all different positions. So why worry you? I’d just ask if they can tell what position the baby is in close to your due date. If they think it’s back to back, ask for advice on how to help the baby turn.
We found out DD was back to back in labour. It was fine. The pain was manageable throughout labour, it was pretty quick too. I had a good midwife who helped me into positions that got her to turn. I had some G&A during transition but otherwise nothing. Back to back doesn’t always mean unmanageable pain and interventions!

I had a posterior placenta with Dc1 and anterior with dC2...no noticable differences between pregnancies aside from not being able to feel baby until a few weeks later. Both were normal, vaginal deliveries
