What does early/prodromal labour feel like?

I posted on the preggers board a while ago but nobody's around

Since then been having back pain/cramps and also at the front, plus the usual BH's...

Nothing separate or 'timeable'...just hurts.
I've been really bad tempered all day as well, which feels like PMT, like it's because of the cramps.

Last time my water broke before anything really kicked off, so I don't know how you would tell if it means something's happening...I'm 37 weeks today.

What is 'prodromal labour' anyway, can anyone tell me? Keep hearing the word and haven't a clue...

(and impatient! )

No advice but I keep popping in. Hope you are more rested and things start moving soon x

Hiya, well I managed to sleep last night which was sort of disappointing in a way! Haven't been getting Ctx worth a mention, not since late yesterday afternoon, so it looks like it might have been a bit of a false start.
Am nevertheless trying to put everything in order! Perhaps cleaning the bathroom might set it off again

It's so strange as yesterday they were quite hard to cope with, and now it's like it didn't happen!

Will update as things happen...or don't
xx

Hey there, glad you got a good night's sleep, have been wondering how you were doing. You might find that things go quiet for a while then maybe pick up again in a few days. This on/off pattern can be a bit annoying but it's quite normal! And you're still only 37 weeks is that right? Maybe there are some things you still need to do before that baby is born....

notice you have not been here for a day or two..anything doing..thinking of you x

Hi Lulu - just been catching up with the FannyAnnie thread, so exciting! (jumping up and down emoticon)

Hmm have been off line because of changing internet provider . Nothing's happened since about 2 days ago! Very frustrating, today have had a few more twinges (since hoovering..)but nothing significant...so I guess it was just a false alarm.
A couple of people have said 'ooh he's dropped!' and it does feel lower but as he's my second, I'm inclined to think we're imagining things!!

Thanks for asking though! xx will try and start a thread when something DOES occur...if, I mean

Ah girls. Thankyou for your kind words! Have had another restless night with cramping etc. and the odd contraction today (mainly during yoga practise with my Doula! She's so cool...) so we're kind of where we were the other day...
Hoping it can't be long now.
Following the other FA thread with bated breath...so exciting!!!!
(oops haven't looked yet to see if she's produced )
