How long was your VBAC labour?

I had an EMCS for DD1 after an induction at term for continual episodes of bleeding from a lower lying placenta. I was 2cm on arrival and only made it to 4/5cm on the drip after 24 hours of contracting 4 in 10.

Hospital is now 1 hour away in good traffic, potentially much worse in bad. I am trying for a VBAC but am worried about getting to the hospital on time- they say to come in when im in established labour but not sure what that feels like! If you had a VBAC for your second baby, how long was it from start to finish?

8 hours from waters going to delivery. It was the best delivery experience I’ve had (1 section, 2 x VBAC). Good luck! And congratulations!

8 hours sounds manageable! I will just be worrying about when we should set off. I want to leave at the first twinge but it could go on for days!

Mucus plug went around 1am and contractions started up. Went to hospital about 4:00am, was measured at just barely 4cm dilated, had ARM at 6cm around 8:30am, baby was born at 10:30am and placenta delivered 20 minutes later.

Officially 6h20m as they only started the clock at 4cm.

Erm ... 40 minutes

And it was an unintentional vbac as I had a c-section booked. Cancel the surgeon!

12 hours, and they gave me a drip to speed up labour after about 4 hours.

6 1/2 hours from first proper contractions... I only went in when I did because it was a vbac and i thought it was worth checking the heartbeat. If I'd waited until I was having contractions 3 mins apart I'd have ended up having the baby at home!

40 minutes! Hospital is in Westminster so envisioning myself giving birth on the Embankment in the back of a cab is my current stuff of nightmares!

About 4 hours. In all i'd say 12 but I was encouraged to keep walking and paced my lounge for about 8 hours. It was when I decided I needed a sit down that the strong pains started.

I didn't go into labour. I had my waters broken at 40 +9. Waters broken at 1.30pm. Wandered around a bit. In labour by 5. Properly in labour by 7. Baby born at 9.30am the following day with some assistance. (Huge, back to back) I had elcs with my first so no previous Labour

Babytalking - my experience is pretty unusual. Please don't let it worry you! And tbh it was fine, even if I did feel a bit shellshocked afterwards

Very Irregular , not especially painful, contractions for 24 hours, Things got regular about 9.30pm, Booked into hospital at 1.40am at 3cm, waters about 3am, born 3.40am

Best experience ever! Loved my VBAC so much.

I was given propess to induce at 8pm on Friday night, started contracting at 9pm through until 10am Saturday, then had waters broken at 3cm, and delivered at 1am Sunday morning... so 17hours early labour and 10hrs active labour. And I had previously got to 9cm in first labour
