Should I ask for a C-section?

Hi
I'm 38 weeks + 3 and this will be my second pregnancy (vaginal birth first time)
I went into hospital the day before yesterday because I believed my waters had broken.. I was saturating my underwear with clear fluid every half an hour or so. I was examined and though they didnt see any liquid themselves agreed that my I had a leak as my amniotic fluid level was only 5 (normal range between 5 and 25)
So they scheduled me in at 3am to be induced. After spending 10 hours sat in a hospital bed doing nothing I am examined again and they tell me that they aren't convinced my waters have actually broken and so don't want to risk inducing me as I am high risk due to a large fibroid in my .. cervix, uteren wall? Not sure.
Anyway as she is explaining this to me she also keeps mentioning that they are very busy and if something were to go wrong right now (may not dilate due to fibroid) they may not have the people and facilities that they need available. I'm told to return at 9am the following day (tomorrow) and that she is happy to induce me then and try for a natural birth l, although c section is likely....
On top of this the babies head is being squished by the fibroid and is measuring small and likely to come out a bit deformed (though it wont be permanent)
They are telling me it's up to me weather I carry on with low fluid just taking antibiotics and hope to go into labour naturally, get induced tomorrow morning or request a c-section, considering the likelihood that I may be rushed off for one anyway.
At the moment I just don't know how to proceed. I would prefer if they made the decision for me but they are reluctant to do so.
Any help or advice would be appreciate.
Thanks!

That sounds like a tough scenario all round.
I ended up having a very rushed emergency section with DS after he got stuck following an induction and tbh if the situation arose again I certainly wouldn't let induction go ahead, I'd opt straight away for a section. I've never felt quit as scared as the moment it all went bad and I got rushed down to surgery having not really prepped myself for it.
In fairness they have obviously said that you could carry on and hopefully go into labour naturally though so it depends how confident you feel in that happening.

As you are asking for opinions - personally I would opt for a section 100%.

Planned section is much better recovery than emergency and you eliminate the stress and unknown.

I feel like I should go ahead for the c-section aswell but she explained it may not be a normal one.. I might need to be sedated because of where the fibroid is and it might result in them having to take out what the fibroid is attached to which is really scary but probably still the safest option.
Thanks so much for your opinions and advice so far!

Given that maybe a planned section really is best as an emergency one could be even more stressful?

Think I'd be inclined to have a section with fibroid removal at the same time - goodnluck
