“Gush” of waters - not much there?

I’m 39+6, due to have a balloon induction tomorrow as it’s a VBAC and had a sweep on Tuesday where she could reach the cervix but it was still too shut to “sweep” properly. I’ve had some twinges and a constant backache since the sweep but nothing much. I was just sat with my partner and when I got up to get the post I felt a fish of liquid running down my legs! Rushed up the stairs and there was a rather disappointing 50p sized wet patch in my pants, not nearly as much as it felt like. Thing is, I was wearing black pants with no pad so I couldn’t tell the colour. I’ve had the speculum test twice before thinking it was waters but it was only discharge (which the midwife kindly, loudly told the whole of triage) so I really don’t want to go if it’s not likely.

Sorry for waffling, basically what should I look out for? I’m really hoping to go into labour naturally, dreading the induction tomorrow but more than anything I just want him in my arms safely.

Gush of liquid not fish! Hmm

Mine didn't gush either. I sat up and felt that 'something' had gone, waddled to the toilet but didn't drip or anything. They had to check at the hospital because I just wasn't sure!

My initial break wasn't a gush but it did come a few hours later at which point I was at the hospital thankfully!

Initial break was enough to be sure my waters had broken though!

Mine wasn't a gush, I couldn't decide if it was waters or me just weeing myself. Every time I moved more 'wee' came out! It was my waters and baby was born 19 hours later!
