What to pack - elective section

I remember the stomach pains post section being horrendous - anyone know what can I take in to help with this? Trapped wind type thingy.

Also have packed the following, what am I missing?! Doesn’t seem a lot! But I expect to only stay 1 night (standard with local hospital)
Nighty / dressing gown / slippers
Comfy clothes to come home in
Big knickers / feeding bras
Breast pads and sanitary towels
Toiletry bag (tooth brush, paste, shower gel, etc)
Phone charger and books/magazines
First size nappies and cotton pads
Few vests/babygros/hats/mits in newborn size
Hopefully will be BF-ink so no need for bottles/milk.

Is there anything I’ve forgotten?!
TIA

Peppermint oil tablets can help with the tummy pain/wind. Or arnica for
General after surgery pain/bruising.

Your hospital bag seems nicely stocked 👍🏽

Sounds good.
Hair brush and hair bands.
Face wipes for freshening up.
Cardigan and a blanket to go over baby in the car seat when you go home.

Pack for two nights just in case. I was only meant to stay one night after my ELCS but stayed longer due to DS not getting going with feeding to start with.

I remember the trapped wind. Don't be afraid to ask for the tablets they have that ease it. Why they don't give them as standard I don't know. First time round I didn't know about them. Second time round I knew to ask for them.

As for you list a hair band or bobbles. Something to do like a book or puzzle. Some snacks. I hated that fast before hand and didn't go down to surgery until nearly dinner so actually missed lunch on the ward. Im goad I packed snacks. Slip on slippers? I can't remember if they were on your list lol

Maternity pads
Lip balm (hospitals are so drying and you want to be comfortable)

My top tip is to snack on dried apricots. The last thing I wanted with the cesarean wound was to end up constipated!

Nipple cream if you are breastfeeding. I didn't discover it until day 4 with ds, this time I'm taking a bucket load to hospital with me.
