Hi. I am 26 weeks preg with no 2 and we are relocating to Plymouth from Doncaster in 4 weeks. We had such a lovely experience at Doncaster Hospital, the midwives and environement was very enjoyable. I am hoping to get some positive feedback from any Mums in Plymouth please, just for a bit of peace of mind.
thanks

I'm in Plymouth w/c 14th May - any Mumsnetters fancy a meet up? Although I don't live there would still be good to meet the faces behind the names as it were! I'm not scary...I promise!

We are yet to find a place to live in Plymouth, and kind of have NO IDEA where to live. DH is driving down on Wed to have a look at a house in Saltash, but we don't even know what areas area nice. I will have 2 crazy dogs and 2 kids under 2yo so need to live near a park to get out of the house for some sanity !!! Any suggestions! I can't thank you guys enough for your positive feedback, it has made such a difference to my move.

We're in Mannamead (ds3 goes to nursery in Lipson Pavlov).

Saltash nice, but bridge commute can be bad (and expesive). dh commutes to Cornwall and says the Plymouth traffic is dreadful.

My niece lives in Cattedown. DH is a Janner and he and DS1 went down on the train on Saturday to watch Argyle beat Preston (we're in London now).

Not given birth in Derriford, but DS2 was in there for 5 days with bronchiolitis when he was 9 weeks and we had excellent care.

Nad - Peverell is a loverly area. Near central park, near A38 for access to other parts of Devon/Cornwall. Not far from train station and town, but not too close. Also near Mutley for shops if you dont want town. Near good schools. On the higher end of prices for buying/renting, but not the most expensive area in Plymouth.

Mannamead is also a good area. I would love to live in either place!

Peverell, Plympton, Plymstock, Elburton,Mannamead, St judes are all nice places to live. I live in Plympton which is 6 miles from Plymouth. It has a good choice of schools, plenty of green space and its own little shopping centre. I had DD in derriford 12 years ago and am 28weeks pregnant with DS.
I had a great experience at Derriford 12 years ago. I am currently recieving consultant led care..and they are fab! I am originally from Wales but love living in Plymouth...its quirky but friendly...like a big villaage rather than a city! Welcome
