My little girl is 4 weeks old tomorrow and since giving birth I haven't really had much of a appetite I have been eating little bits, just want to know if this is normal. Worried about getting ill but I don't feel hungry most of the time 😒

How do you feel otherwise? I only ask because my SIL was similar and was suffering from PND. It may just be that you are very tired but worth considering?

Congratulations on your baby!

I felt exactly the same and my appetite returned around week 10! DH spent the first few weeks cooking and fetching my favourite foods and I would barely manage more than a mouthful.

Just keep grazing little and often and keep up the fluids Smile

Are you breastfeeding? I was ravenous, I think either feeding method it might be worth giving your midwife or health visitor a call

I breastfed, had no PND but couldn't eat anything for at least 6 weeks. I managed the odd mouthful here and there when forced but really didn't get an appetite til around 11/12 weeks at which point I became ravenous. I used to make sure I took things to bed in case I got hungry during night feeds (actually got a kilo bar of dairy milk given to me and ate a fair whack of that during night feeds!)
I had a huge thirst during the first few weeks too but zero hunger.
Best to get checked out though, make sure whatever you do you keep your fluid intake up too.

I feel okay in general I am on antibiotics due to infection (stitches) I guess it's just lack of sleep. I don't breastfeed. I'm just making sure I have a snack or some sort as it's better than completely starving myself. Thanks for the comments ladies!
