Going to hospital as soon as waters break??

I´m in Spain and have been told that protocol here is that you must go to the hospital as soon as your waters break and they then keep you in until you have the baby. I am a bit worried about this in case I don´t start to labour naturally and they start to pressure me for induction within a relatively short time frame. (yes this is my first baby, can you tell?!)
What do you reckon? DO I have to go in straight away or could I wait a bit longer?

Just reread your OP - have your waters actually gone or is this a hypothetical question? If you speak Spanish you can go to the message boards at www.crianzanatural.com and ask there about your particular hospital.

LOL babedia.. no they haven´t gone yet and my OP would have been about a trillion times more hysterical if they had, I´m sure! I have been on that site before and it´s quite useful - I might have a look at posting something there.. thanks

LOL, I was going to say... You did seem incredibly calm and laid back about it all!
