My DH really wants to go to Alton Towers this weekend and I'm 22 weeks PG, will be 23 weeks, but I'm worried about the rides and if i dont go on anything also a waste of money DH think I will be "FINE" as he said!

What do you think? and also is there restrictions for PG ladies if so what are they?

PS, I wasn't even thinking about going on any BIG ride's, as we'll have 2 DC with us I'm asking about kiddy rides!

I wouldn't go on any of the rides! Unless it's a really gentle one like a boat thet barely moves an inch a second.

MerlinsBeard · 02/04/2007 13:10

i'm sure that you can't go on ANY rides when pg at alton towers. They just don't want thatkind of responsibility.

I went to Legoland when 27 weeks PG with DS4 and of course was not allowed on any rides, honestly didn't expect to be anyway. Why take unneccesary risks?

MerlinsBeard · 02/04/2007 13:17

can't find any info on their site. From memory there are signs up on lots of rides saying you can't go in cases of heart probs,pg etc

SOme rides also have girth restrictions on (according to their FAQs) so if you are exceptionally thin or large you wouldn't be allowed on anyway. (i only mentioned that because at 24 weeks with my 2nd i was ENORMOUS!)

I dont want to take unneccesary risks, henes post/tread, but DH is saying I'll be fine, so you could say Im looking for back up and I feel like I'm spoiling his/their fun!

I look about 26/28 week

I don't think you can go on any rides while pg can you? Don't know for definite but personally wouldn't risk it! Could you not take a trip to a zoo or safari park instead? Something your DCs will love I am sure!

The wellbeing of your unborn baby is surely more important then spoiling youir dh's fun. Sorry if it sounds like an over reaction but your DH is being unreasonable - the reason they have the restrictions in the first place is for your and your baby's protection.

Just told DH rides are out of the question and he said he's going to rethink what we can do at the weekend! (seaside nice and simple, I hope)
