Waters broken

I am 37+3 and woke up this morning to what i can only describe as weeing myself. I stood out of bed and the went to the loo to wee and what felt like a normal wee came out. I was half asleep and flushed the chain without really checking. When I got back to bed there was more than what I thought and it had left quite a large patch on the bed. I called the midwife and did as advised, put a pad in, then chill for an hour and see what the pad looks like after. I did this and it was pretty clear. They recommended I go in and they did a test to check if my waters had gone. I was really shocked as it came back negative. Now I'm questioning myself and really not sure given I'd literally just woken up from a really deep sleep/dream. Any advice would be appreciated. Do you think I could ask for the test again later today? As the midwife did say it can sometimes have an incorrect reading.

Once your waters have properly broken you'll feel like a balloon deflating.. you'll notice a huge change in the shape and feel of your bump!

Think midwife is right on this one.

Scary when your pregnant, so much to worry about.

Hope you have a good birth and enjoy the little one Smile

My waters breaking was unmistakeable gushing. Like a damn breaking.

Yeh, they told me my waters hadn't broken too (it definitely wasn't wee!), but they told me to go in anyway. But I was 5cm dilated by then so the point was moot!

My waters breaking was 2 pops and crazy gash of fluid. However I know they can trickle and sometimes if the head is engaged it could block the dribbling of waters if the break is small.
If you still have fluids coming out it would be a good idea to return for another check.

The thing to remember is everyone is different and every child birth is different

When you know something isn't right your probably right Hmm if that makes sense lol
