I had a scan yesterday. The baby is breech. now I am panicking that I won't get my VBAC after all.
Better spend the next 9 weeks with my backside in the air then.

I spent the last four weeks of my pg with my arse in the air. Didn't go well wkth the heartburn.

Sadly to no avail. I read up on Mary Cronk and decided to have a trial of labour. I went into labour natuarlly but after 9 hours had progressed so ended up with a CS.

I doubt that they will try ECV etc if you have had a previous CS.

p.s. my theory of moxibustion is that the position you have to go into is one that will courage the baby through. Just think it through before you consider it. How can holding a smelly candle next to your toe possibly affect your baby's position

muppethasakitten · 19/03/2007 14:10

Plus a good number of babies do seem to turn themselves in the last few days... i was booked in for some acupuncture/moxibustion to try to turn him but he did it himself before my appointment... if i'd had the treatment a couple of days earlier i would be going around saying it was the moxi that turned him!

Very hard to prove one way or the other that the babe wouldn't have turned had you not gone for treatment...

Me too gingerbear - although DS1 was also breech at 31 weeks. I thought there was still lots of time to turn.

Gingerbear · 19/03/2007 16:31

I am thinking positive dejags, as you say, there is still time and room in the womb yet at 31 weeks.

otherwise how are things going GB?

I am starting to feel really heavy now. I have another 6 weeks to go at work .

I have anaemia - so I am on iron supplements, I feel much better since starting the course though.

Gingerbear · 20/03/2007 13:27

I am fine, but like you feel heavy. I am finding it hard to get comfy at night. I knelt down to give DD a kiss this morning in school and couldn't get back up again! The teaching assistant came to my rescue, I felt so embarrassed!

6 weeks left for me at work too (although I have one week holiday at easter).

there is still pleanty of time for baby to turn - Aimie was breech unil 34 ish weeks - we tried everything. Mars sent me a website with some useful tips in it that I'll ty to find for you - avoid the ioning board trick though unless you happen toi have a cb and an industrial winch handy

Clary · 20/03/2007 13:35

Oh heck GB.

Was hoping yr post meant it wasn't yr thread.

Right, repeat after me, Optimal Foetal Positioning....

It's not about scrubbing floors, you can still laze in front of TV, but must just do it with bottom up and head forward (or something - can't remember).

This is early tho, DD was breech after a late-ish scan (28 wks IIRC) and of course turned.

Gingerbear · 30/03/2007 18:43

bugger.
2 weeks on and the head is still stuck firmly under my left ribs.
I have to go back to hospital at 38 weeks (6 weeks time) and discuss options then.

Turn Baby Turn!

I successfully use icepack on his "head". It did an almighty flip one day and then descended to sit on my pelvis for a Long 6 weeks.

Gingerbear · 30/03/2007 18:47

I'll try anything! Off to rummage for icepack...

lulumama · 30/03/2007 18:47

Gingerbear · 30/03/2007 18:49

lulumama · 30/03/2007 18:50

Mrsjaffabiffa · 30/03/2007 19:03

Oh gingerbear, there must be something with these May babies there are just so many of them breech.

I'm going to try the ice pack thing later.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 30/03/2007 19:05

I wouldn't know where to start to find acupuncture or a homeopath in rural france.

lulumama · 30/03/2007 19:06

have you seen the tips on here

on this site and also in the janet balaskas active birth book?

Gingerbear · 30/03/2007 19:17

Thanks Lulu, will look later after DD's ablutions and bedtime.
I know Mrs Jaffa, what is it about May babies huh?
