'bout 5 mins apart, thats what got me thinking oh, oh. lol. not too sore but bearable. last two labours stated 5 mins apart too btw.

Are they regular? If they are, and 5 mins apart, I'd ring your mw/maternity ward for advice.

generaldogsbody1 · 14/03/2007 21:31

they are reg but not sore enough yet iyswim. 37 wks is concidered full term at my cmu. so I'm not rushing to get to major hosp.

This labout might be less painless than your first (well, you can hope!). Would it be worth ringing anyway?

pookey · 14/03/2007 21:35

Has your tummy dropped or your mucus plug appeared or anything else like that? If you feel sore I would try to assume its not labour and not get too excited and get to bed for some rest - I am sure I have heard people can have mild contractions for a week or so gulp! Dont be shy to ring the hospital for some professional advice, app midwives can often tell from talking to you while you are having a contraction if it is labour.

pookey · 14/03/2007 21:36

Oh 5 minutes defo ring the ward

CountTo10 · 14/03/2007 21:37

defnitely ring ward and see what they advise, if its to stay put jump in the bath to try and relieve it for a while - 'citing!!!

Swizzler · 14/03/2007 21:37

Have you rung them yet

generaldogsbody1 · 14/03/2007 21:40

bump dropped weeks ago, lost my plug at 28weeks and have continued to do so since then. Had slow labour for two weeks with my last, not like this though. Trying not to get excited right now. may well take pookeys advice and head off to bed. Its so bloody annoying Grrrrr. will go to bed at 10.

Well, make sure your bag is packed anyway - I was in slow labour (I thought) with DS - could talk and everything - got to hospital and was 5 cm dilated and DS arrived a couple of hours later .

generaldogsbody1 · 14/03/2007 21:46

RING THEM!! They're not going to tell you off for ringing, it does sound like something is happening.

Swizzler · 14/03/2007 21:49

When the taxi arrived to take us to hospital, I was all ready but DH was hopping about cursing and trying to find his socks - had to go down and tell the driver to wait!

generaldogsbody1 · 14/03/2007 21:51

doing that tight shoulders thing with the pain too, still dont seem sore enough yet

OP posts:
pookey · 14/03/2007 21:53

Ring them now sounds like you are playing down the pain!

generaldogsbody1 · 14/03/2007 21:55

lol swiz. DP went to hospital on his own the last time lol. i was at my mums he was at work, came home to pick up the car drove past dmst house and carried on without me lol

OP posts:
CountTo10 · 14/03/2007 21:59

Pain in back and bum sounds like a lot more than a twinge

pookey · 14/03/2007 22:01

She must be on the phone thats the only explanation lol

generaldogsbody1 · 14/03/2007 22:07

Sorry not on the phone, went to the loo. I promise i will phone at 10 30, if things haven't settled by then. might have to tell dp at that point too

OP posts:
Swizzler · 14/03/2007 22:08

pookey · 14/03/2007 22:10

generaldogsbody1 · 14/03/2007 22:11
