How long is it until you can drive after a CS?

You can drive when you feel you can. People will say to inform your car insurance company though. Depends on your recovery. I have had 3 cs. First 2 I waited 6 weeks. Third one 4 weeks. I could have driven after 3

I drove at 2-2.5 weeks after mine , it might even have been earlier ( was 17 yrs ago) , my GP said as soon as you felt you could do an emergency stop it was ok .

I drove after two weeks.

I got the go ahead to drive after 2 weeks

I asked my insurer, they said when I was ready.

Ten days. I rang my insurance company who said just when I was ready -they had no rules /regs.

When you can do an emergency stop.

When you can do an Emergency Stop. Try it with the engine off first! Also check with your insurer. One didn't mind, 3 years later a different one said 6 weeks, but I didn't feel up to it until 9 weeks.

I drove after 3 weeks with first and 11 days with second.

You need to check with your insurer as they have differing rules. Some say a specific time, some say when GP says so, some say when you feel able.

Regardless of what they say (which is a minimum) you need to feel sure that you are able to drive safely. I had a vaginal birth but couldn't drive safely for 5ish weeks due to episiotomy pain.

Two weeks for me but make sure you speak to insurance first.

My GP said it was up to my insurer. My insurer said as long as my GP hadn't said I shouldn't drive I would be covered. 1st time I waited 4 weeks, 2nd time I was ready by about 2 weeks, but didn't need to until about 3 weeks.
