I've pretty much finished packing mine. What with towels, toiletries, spare nighties, bras, pads, nappies, babygros etc etc, it looks like I'm planning on going on a two week holiday

Does everyone's bag look like this or am I going to look like a total saddo when I go in? I don't want everyone laughing at me

I'll be taking my nursing pillow. Im a big, older mummy and need support to feed! Last time, they only had a small squishy chair with wooden arms.
I'll be taking my own, big firm pillows, because last time, they left me flat on my back with a tiny flat pillow, after a CS, at 3am. I was miserable, and couldn't reach the bell. I'll take my walkman to drown out the noise and get me to sleep, lots of drinks and some snacks too.
I'll also take flip flops, my feet get so hot. Oh yes, and a top and tail bowl. They gave us a faffy little dish to wipe baby's botty with last time.
Oh yes, and some sort of illegal firearm to shoot MIL with!
I'll pack all the usual stuff for baby too. But I'll take all sorts of things to help breast feeding get off to a good start, so I don't get fobbed off with formula in the early days. I've got all the gear, you should see it!

We took our i-pod and docking station so we could have music through the birth (played classical music and BF sprinted across the room to turn off Carmina Burana everytime it came on just in case it induced DS into being devil incarnate). Also took loads of food and drinks (three Waitrose carrier bags full) which was perfect as I was in labour for three days and we ate and drank every last bit (apart from Pot Noddle as BF couldn't find a kettle). Had change of clothes for BF but would also take a sleeping bag for him next time as he ended up laying on a cold floor covered with my bath towel. Also found the swaddling blankets you can get from Mothercare invaluable once DS was out in the world.
