Transition

What is it? I've seen it mentioned loads but seem to have missed something...

I feel sick and start trembling, last time I started saying 'quick I'm going to be sick,' a poor hospital helper came rushing over with a vomit tray and I said 'no take it away! I'm pushing!' at which point my trolleybed had to be pushed down to labour ward...I seem to go from calmly breathing through contractions to transition lasting about 30 secs to pushing and giving birth Glad transition doesn't last long though..I hate it, it's when you lose control of the situation!
