do boys like to take longer to arrive?

im pg with my 3rd,two girl first now a boy,both girls came at 37 weeks,do you think i should expect my baby boy to arrive at the same sort of time?im niggling,having pains then contractions,but it always tails off when i lie down,im 37 +2 so im getting restless,but is it just boys take longer to cook!!!!

sounds like stuff is happening...!! but it is impossible to predict!! all i can tell you is...he will arrive..sooner or later!! pressure could be due to head engaging ....keep an eye on things...you;ll know when it is time,.!

yeah! i hate this waiting stage,but third time around all the pains are more intense

erinsmom, yup, 3 boys here...and, as my id tells ya, no plans to ever try for a girl (like you can do that anyway, lol)

DS1 was 6 days late and took 30 hrs from first contraction to birth - ventouse.
DS2 was 9 days late and took 6.5 hrs from waters to birth - natural.

Ulp! We, too, moved into a new area when I was pg, and my family are 1-2h away. Don't worry about having to use the ambulance - I did, and made it to the hospital in time to have a good birth there.

How are things this morning?

I had ds1 at 40+6, and ds2 was 1 hours late (born at 1am)

mine did, dd was only 4 days late.

ds on the other hand was 15 days late and eventually forced out after nothing else would budge him. but at 37 wks I wouldnt worry too much yet

ds1 - 39 weeks
ds2 - 40+5
ds3- 38+2

this one is a girl and i have 5 days left till my due date. I think they come when they feel like it lol
