Induction due to GD.

Anyone know if this is any different to being induced for being overdue?
I really don't want another horrific induction

No unfortunately it is the same process

You are allowed to refuse an induction. You may go into spontaneous labour and they will be fine with this depending on how well controlled your blood sugar is. You could request a cesarean if you really want one and were previously traumatised by induction.

As an 'old' (over 40) mum I was told first of all I would be induced at 40 weeks and then when I got GD that came down to 38 weeks. I was really worried about the induction as I knew the oxytocin drip made labour really painful. All along I insisted that I would need an epidural and was really concerned that I would be made to have the induction without it. In the end I went into labour at 35 weeks and didn't need the induction after all so worried myself silly for no reason.
