Hopefully it won't come to it (got 7 days for things to kick off on their own) but I'm booked in to be induced a week today.
The doctor I saw the other day told me to bring a bag with me as I'd be staying in but I thought that they let you home after they'd put the pessaries in and only put you on a drip if that didn't work?
The timetable seems to be for me to go up to the hospital for the pessaries at 2.30 and then the next day they'll put me on a drip. I only live 10 minutes from the hospital and I really don't want to be hanging about the antenatal ward if I don't have to be.
I will phone the hospital before I go next week to double check but just wondered if this was normal? The doctor was quite junior, very nervous and I don't want to end up just going along with something that's not necessary.
