Having a few niggles - What can I do to keep them coming and make them stronger ?

Had quite an uncomfortable night and have had a few mild niggly pains this morning accompanied with period type pains - think this could possibly be the start of things to come but cannot for the life of me remember what it was like with DD.

What can I do to make sure the contractions keep coming and get more regular - should I rest or should I get moving.

Wouldn't think I had done this before, feel like a complete novice this time

Yes, and errr, you know that your dh is not absolutely necessary for the orgasm part - although we try not to let them know that

Heathcliffscathy · 07/11/2006 15:54

ooo look they've obviously had orgasms and are now giving birth!!!

How are things FoghornLeghorn?

I would not advice a warm/hot bath at this stage (i had one when in labour with ds2 and contractions where 3 minutes apart and my contraction completly stopped, even though it can speed things up as well)

Let us know how you are doing!

Bananaknickers · 07/11/2006 19:14

masterbate that will help

Heathcliffscathy · 08/11/2006 09:22

i'm telling you the birth announcements will be next!

cheritongirl · 08/11/2006 14:48

guess the silence from Foghornleghorn must mean she has made better progress than me! Have undertaken all suggestions and last night it really did seem like something was underway but then it stopped and i fell asleep - should probably have gone for a good walk around the block at that stage...ah well. Very much hope to have a birth announcement rather than more moaning soon..

lulumama · 08/11/2006 17:26

when are you due chertitongirl....have you tried the helpful hints too????

FoghornLeghorn · 09/11/2006 12:48

Well I have now tried everything and nothing is making the slightest bit of difference. Have just got home from another long walk to Sainsbury's, sort of strolled there but virtually sprinted back (well ..... as much as a pg person can sprint) in the hope it would get things moving. I spent all day in town yesterday shopping and have been having baths with Lavender oil. Tried nipple stimulation to absolutely no avail and orgasmed with no change

BIL has just had his first baby - arrived this morning by CSection. Hopefully going up the hospital later will scare me into labour

I tried raspberry leaf tea when in similar situation, I drank 9 cups in two hours!! Went into labour that night, VERY full-on contractions, 2 and a half hour labour! With my 3rd, I drank it on my due day, non stop, had 25 minute labour that night!!

Have been taking RL Tablets for about 5 weeks now - brought a new pot of the capsule ones at the weekend.

Am off now to make a cup of tea out of them - fingers crossed for me please
