I am now over my EDD and am seeing my midwife this week to have a membrane sweep with a view to induction - can anyone tell me if they have had this done and what it what like?

Well I've now had two (Mon and Wed) to little effect! The first time, she said that the cervix was 'favourable' (sounds like some kind of spy code to me) and starting to dilate, but it hadn't budged on Wed, so I am clearly on the wrong side of the 50%, and not sure what to do other than sit and wait to be induced!

I am now kind of resigned to my baby taking his time. It would be fine if only people would stop texting and phoning asking if there is any news - I feel like screaming, "if there was, I would have told you!!". I had to tell my Mum tonight that we would be in touch when there was something to report. I know people mean well and are trying to be kind, but it's driving me mad!
As for sex, I wish we could but the pain from my SPD is just too much. I now have to sleep sitting upright as there is no position that I can get comfortable in. I have tried lots of raspberry leaf tea, but nothing doing there. All in good time I guess.
