hello

I'm 39 weeks pregnant and know I'm not the only waiting to be Mummy in the world that is totally fed up.

In between biting off (not literally) my husbands head off, in between feeling utterly fed up can't stop crying.

Please tell me I'm not going mad, I know baby won't come before he's ready, but any tips on how to emotionally feel better?!,

Did anyone else feel like this?

Thank you other mummies :)

Yes, it's horrid. If it's any consolation the morning after I felt like that I had a baby! (No promises, but I think it's quite common to feel tearful and desperate before the onset of labour...)

ZenNudist · 25/04/2015 20:59

God yes been there! It's all the hormones. Be warned, do not watch disney 's "Up" - you'll weep buckets!

It's not the being fed up, but that doesn't help. Being under a lot if stress contributes too. But it's mainly hormones.

Have you found yourself laughing and crying at the same time yet Confused!

Nearly there!Thanks

somewhatavoidant · 25/04/2015 21:00

Poor you. It'll be over soon. Distract yourself, watch crap tv, eat chocolateThanks

AlpacaMyBag · 25/04/2015 21:01

I felt like that about 2 days before DC2 was born.

I reckon you're almost there Wink

MrsMash · 25/04/2015 21:03

Biscuitsneeded, thank you. It would be a great promise the arrival of the wee man, it's good to know it is very common. And yes it probably is just the sheer desperation..I'm trying not to be though Star

Yup cried and stropped like a toddler about 2 days before labour started. The night before started a thread about how I couldn't go on....

Drama queen !

MrsMash · 25/04/2015 21:07

ZenNudist, thanks for the tip on the Disney film, my niece I'm sure would want to watch it tomorrow :( it's my nephews birthday and all of the children are coming over to Grannies, which will help no end :(

I love them dearly, but I know that a 5 year old, 7 year old, and 9 year old will ask me, " when is the baby coming" it's been forever.

May be then I will laugh and cry Blush

Totally remember doing this after dropping my Mayo smothered pepperoni pizza on the kitchen floor in my final week of pregnancy. I was bereft... And still ate it. Can't think how ds became a 9lb whopper.

Yes, 39 weeks with dc2. Kneeling in the floor of the nursery, showing my DM where everything was -incase she needed to know. God knows why she would need to know. I can remember hardly being able to speak because I was so snotty and teary. Proper rolling down the cheeks fat tears. And I had been like that for quite a few days before-& after. Dc2 was 6 day late. I spent the rest of being pregnant either in tears or a grump!

melliemoo1 · 08/05/2015 20:25

Im 38 + 2 and feel exactly the same. Its like being in limbo. I'm trying not to even think of going overdue as that depresses me even more. Sorry not much help but good to hear we are not alone.

Just realised the op may have had her baby by now.
