How to give feedback on antenatal and postnatal care from midwives?

Hello, just had a baby and there's some feedback i'd like to give formally about the antenatal and postnatal care i received from midwives. Does anyone know the best way to go about this? Was thinking about writing letter to Supervisors of Midwives. It's not a compaint as such - nothing serious - but something that happened often enough with different midwives to bug me in otherwise totally brilliant and flawless care i received from them.

I had some issues with my care and the community midwife I saw when we came home from hospital gave me a feedback sheet with lots of space for an essay, with instructions for return via the surgery for internal NHS mail.

If you've already been discharged, PALS should be able to help.

Writing to the Supervisor of Midwives is an excellent idea. Maybe copy in the Maternity Services Liaison Committee at your hospital too (independent body set up to ensure women's voices are heard).

The trust in which the hospital is in should have a PALS (patient advice liaison service). They welcome comments, concerns & complaints. I used them recently to make positive & negative comments regarding hospital care my grandfather received. The ward manager actually rang me to address these concerns & to inform me what they were putting in place to make it better for others. There should be info on the website.
