If you have had multiple c-sections, how many scars do you have?

I had my third c-section last week, all three were emergency sections. With my second section the doctor cut along the original scar and excised it, leaving me with only one scar. With my third section the cut was about half an inch higher than the old scar leaving me with two scars, one well hidden in my bikini line and one that is much longer and more visible as it is higher up. I realise what's done is done but I wondered how common it was to have more than one section scar.

3 sections, 1 scar. After the second section I had two separate scars, but on the third the surgeon 'joined them up' for want of a better description. Sadly my suggestion that she perform a tummy tuck while she was at it was ignored. The remaining scar sits below my pouch at the top of my bikini line so isn't greatly visible anyway.

Two babies, two scars. I didn't notice for a long time!

2 sections and a hysterectomy. 1 scar.

2 sections. One over the other. You an only see there are 2 if you look closely. Will be having a third later this year so am interested to see where it goes.

2 sections, one and a half scars. My first c section scar was quite wide, assuming it's because they had to push DS back up inside and he had broad shoulders. It was literally the width of my pubic region / bikini line and wonky. Second section was a slightly calmer experience and not such a wide scar, I assumed they excised as much scar as they needed to get DS out. You can see the old scar at the edges and the newer one sits in the middle. They did a tidy job but unfortunately no tummy tuck here either!

I'm glad to hear it isn't unusual. The doctor that was going to perform my section had said that he would go in through the old scar and excise it again but it ended up that the senior consultant had to do my section because I had an undiagnosed placenta praevia and I didn't get time to discuss anything with him before hand.

2 sections, more or less one scar (it sort of forks into two at one end, but this is very faint). Interested to see if they are able to go in through the same scar if I have a third one.

2 aections and one scar, firts scar was a horrible sque wiff affair, but they cut that one out when they did the second one. Pretty pleased with it, scar is only about an inch along now Smile

I've had 2 sections: one emcs and the last one was elective. Thought they were going to use the previous incision. They didn't and I now have two. The new one is higher and longer than the old one. They're about 1 cm apart. Hopefully the newer one will heal and fade as well as the old one otherwise I'm going to be a tad bit p*ssed off!!!

2 sections and a laparoscopy.
I have a funny wobbly smiley face Smile

I've had 4 (1 emcs, 3 elcs) - only one scar.

4 sections (all elective - most recent was 7 weeks ago), 1 scar which the midwives/doctors described as "lovely". My scar is small and neat with only a tiny bit of puckering at one end. I have a very small overhang which is shrinking and (based on previous experience) will virtually disappear apart from a slight bulge at the top of the scar. No stretch marks at all. I was told I had minimal internal scarring and no adhesions etc so would be fine for a fifth if I so desired.
