Anyone had recent birth experience at Lincoln Hospital?

Currently being looked after by Warwick, which has excellent reputation but moving to Lincoln and a little concerned by what I've found online about the maternity unit. ..

Can anyone reassure me or let me know if fears are warranted?

Yes: twice-
2011: Care was fine although I did get dehydrated and need a drip and wondered if this was preventable (although it was a really hot day), also not very impressed with the breastfeeding support after the birth.
2014: Brilliant! V experienced midwife who totally respected my birth plan, whole ward quiet and efficient, no stress! Second birth was fast and relatively easy. Both times it seemed nice & clean.

I had my ds there last year. In the pool on the first day it opened. The labour ward was brilliant, highly attentive staff etc then when they moved me down to nettleham ward no one spoke to me for about 4 hours!!

2011 and 2013

Very, very busy in 2011 - kept on the ward waiting for 2 days to start induction as no capacity in labour ward but that was no ones fault. Lovely SpR who was the one to start the induction in the end (and stitch me up after) and when things went a little off plan and I was a bit unwell after I had a midwife who never left my side all night post the birth despite me knowing how busy it was.

Second time I switched at 38 weeks to Lincoln after being booked in at City hospital in Nottingham as it just didn't feel right. Induction again in the end and I ended up in the same room to deliver as I had 2 years before. Midwives all lovely again on labour ward, read my birth plan and talked it through with me. I felt listened to and looked after.

Post natal ward, well, don't think many people really enjoy that period anywhere do they? Have to ask for help rather than expect them to know what's going on as they seem to let you get on with things. I asked for the women's health physio to see me before discharge as my PGP was worse post birth than before but I knew she was someone I could see as I'd had seen her for unrelated physio pre birth. Breast feeding support was there - I didn't need it but heard them giving good advice to others. There does seem to be a bit of the thought if you've done it before you should know what you're doing but again ask for the help if you need it.

One of the few negative things from my experiences were how thin the labour ward walls are. Apart from confidentiality issues you can hear how full on labour can get!
