Cervical tear?

DS was back to back, rotational forceps delivery resulting in torn cervix and 3.5L blood loss..... Felt rubbish as very anaemic for a while , but all better now..... So much so I can't help thinking about if there's a next time...? ELSC or attempt at a natural delivery? Has anyone experience of this as I can find very little information?

I had a similar experience with my first (2 1/2) yrs ago, so eager to hear any other responses too.
Either way, I'm having number 2 in July/Aug so I will find out.

I asked Dr and MW about it before getting preggo and was told that it should all have healed fine and make little difference. I got them to have a look also and they found no issues.

I am consultant led now tho as a result of last time, but this has made little diff to my experience thus far.

My DC1 tore my cervix on her way out, no tools just her! I lost over 1 litre of blood before they got it clamped. It was classified as a PPH, postpartum haemorrhage.

So for future pregnancies I was told I would not be allowed in water eg. Bath and I would need a canuala in the back of my hand from when labour was established. Just in case they needed to get fluids on board quickly. I have hard to find blood vessels so didn't mind that as most blood tests need 4 attempts.

I went on to have 3 more pregnancies, all singletons, and no trouble at all with my cervix. I had the 4 babies in 6 years so not big gaps either.

DC4 was 9lb 12.5ozs and even that didn't tear it!!

Thanks for your replies. It's good to hear of some straightforward vaginal births post tear. Hagred- good luck for the summer- would love to hear how you get on!
