I can't find the threads with the recommendations for coping with trapped wind etc after a cesarean.
Anything you wish you'd had in hospital?

Make DH go with you for first poo, it's scary!

Stay on top of meds, don't wait till you feel the pain.

www.mumsnet.com/reviews/nursery/cots-cribs-cotbeds/9963-arms-reach-universal-co-sleeper-bedside-cot

this cot is a must have, the best baby related money ever spent ( have 2) it meant better sleep for us all, I could totally relax knowing baby safe in own space. no twisting or turning after surgery,...baby so happy close to my head, easy to get her to me and back again.

forget expensive travel systems put your money here on SLEEP.

yes big knickers, v pillow to rest baby on - protect scar, use to sit up etc...

I'm six days post section. Spent four days in hospital.

Book private room if you can.
Lactulose to help with first poo
Water bottles and straws - I could not get enough water
Nipple cream for nips and lips, I got very dry
Over the bump leggings
Vest tops (it was SO hot in there) I literally sat in just my pants for three days as I couldn't wear the clothes I'd boughtBrew
Make up to help you feel less grotty
Flushable wipes - helped me to feel a bit cleaner down there before I could shower
iPod full of audiobooks/podcasts
Camera with a lot of storage
Mega pants. I'm a size ten, I bought size sixteen m&s granny pants
A lot of pillows - for propping me up to breastfeed and sleep

I found the procedure itself very emotional and I'd relive it tomorrow if I could. Six days on and I'm up and about in a gentle way. I was surprised that I looked nine months pregnant and really puffy for about three days. Even my labia were hugely swollen. Now I look five months pregnant. Good luck and enjoy xx

You can take paracetamol, ibuprofen and morphine while bfing. Certainly in the early days. I'm still taking ibuprofen and paracetamol. I forgot - windeze. I did get wind pain in my shoulders and took these for three days. I also take arnica for the bruising - the midwives have all said they've never seen such a well healed wound.

This is useful, I'm booked for an ELCS in 3 weeks...packing bags at the moment!

SnuzPod

Co-Sleeper - much cheaper than the one mentioned above.

Is currently holding its value well on second hand market due to supply/demand issues.
