What should I do about this- mistake in my notes? Help!

This may not be a big deal but it could be, iykwim?!

I had my 28 week appointment today and to be honest I was quite anxious as I've previously had a section and I want a repeat section. Have no desire for a vbac.

Discussed it with the doctor and she said while there was no reason for me not to have a vbac, since this would be my last baby, there shouldn't be any problems getting a section.

I felt relieved.

When I look at my notes in maternity folder from today, she has written "patient is keen for a vbac." This is not right, it is the opposite of what we discussed.

What should I do about it? I can't go back and get it changed as hospital is so busy etc. should I cross out what she has written or just put a note of my own in?

I'm worried! I don't want to come across as a smart Alec but I don't want to have a row at my next appointment. They were v pro vbac at 12 weeks.

Sad

Just cross it out! And write your own sentence underneath: patient is NOT keen on a VBAC, prefers caesarean. Initial it so it was clear you made the change.
They won't like it, but if they question it, I think you are well within your rights to say that the standard of record keeping is not good enough, and it was either correct it yourself or make a complaint.

Agree with TheTertiumSquid! Cross it out with a neat line diagonally across the box so that they know what you are crossing out IYSIM. Definitely add your own notes and initial as suggested above.

I wouldn't worry about it. You won't have any issues having an elective section, they can't force you to have VBAC. I wouldn't cross anything off-just mention it to her when you next see her. Your medical notes will probably say something different x

Cross it out and write what you want. I've done it in my. It's just a comment, not anything medical.
