you're welcome! you might want to try evening primrose oil aswell, I tried it orally and as a suppository but only from 37 weeks.

CarlyP · 25/09/2006 11:47

Thanks

lulumama · 25/09/2006 18:25

CarlyP - sorry to hijack - which doula course you doing, i've just done mine....

lulumama · 25/09/2006 18:27

BTW , can use the oil in a burner too. lavendar and jasmine good too...i hated smell of clary sage - if you dislike the smell, i've heard it is less effective....if self inducing - keep away from castor oil - not good. and try visualisation too ....

Just for the record- I would never recommend clary sage to start off labour... I think it can be mis-used... and I know several aromatherapist who would agree !

CarlyP · 26/09/2006 23:04

not recommending it, but it worked for me, i know some ppl dont agree, but i was in a v v diff situation to a 'normal' preg and labour.

If it worked - other things would have worked too.... it is always risky to use oils or homeopathy who can get your uterus too irritable... but we can talk about in 2 weeks

CarlyP · 26/09/2006 23:12

looking forward to it pupuce. (believe me when i say i was desperate and had not read a thing about birth apart from miriam stoppard....need i say more!)
