6 Months on...

I just need a bit of advice or ladies who have suffered the same. I had my little girl in December, lovely birth no stitches needed although I had a slight tear. Things seemed fine after about 3/4 weeks but have gradually got worse again, I am unable to DTD due to the pain in what feels like the muscle around the tear site. I have a constant aching and after visiting the GP and then a follow up at the local Gynae was told it is "completely normal to be disinterested in sex at this point", I feel like nobody believes how painful the area is and is writing me off as avoiding sex.

I am not sure about the aching but for me there is pain dtd after 6 months (we have only tried twice so far)
I had a third degree tear which was stitched nicely and assumed that things would be easy as it would have stretched down there, but no.
I had previous sex issues before having a baby so own some dilators which i have used to 'stretch' it out before dtd as when you start fearing the pain your body wont lubricate or stretch as well. We go really really slow and i found the last time a lot better.
From my friends i have spoken to they have all found dtd somewhat painful but have said it gets better.
I really hope that its just a case of keep trying and before long things will be back to normal.

I has ti have some scar tissue removed before we could resume. Ask your Gp outright to refer you to a gynaecologist

I had to .... (Is what I meant)

I have just posted something similar. I am eight months in and whilst my stitches haven't healed particularly well externally I have a lot of pain internally on attempting to DTD. Sadly, I had a very disappointing meeting with a gynaecologist yesterday.

No advice I'm afraid, but I feel your pain (literally!)
