I hate being in hospital because it's so bloody boring, but on the upside, it does give me a few days where I don't have to vacuum/wash up etc. I'm also going to enjot tomorrow morning, when I can lie in bed and read trashy magazines without being interrupted with poo fiascos and constant demands for drink/food (I have to be in at 8am, and they do the CS in the aftrenoon)

Anyway, will I be in loads of pain afterwards? I had an emergency CS with DS, and I can't really remember what happened for the next six months, as I was on another planet!!

EEEEK, starting to shit myself now........

Sounds v tempting.

Might ring DP up at work, and plant the seed in his mind. He can't resist nice food.

And you'll have no pain and you'll be home by Friday - there I've said it !! DD "played" at having a baby yesterday pm - lay on the sofa and asked me to cut the baby out of her tummy !!

Flossam · 05/09/2006 15:17

IGW - are you near me in Bristol?

intergalacticwalrus · 05/09/2006 15:18

Rofl, YIAM, bless her. She is lovely!

Right, DS has awoken from his nap, so I am away. I will be back on Friday (hopefully)

Thanks for the advice everyone!

EEEKK!

Flossam, I live in Weston in Bath, so I'm on the Brizzle side. Whereabout in Bristol are you?

Kingswood - so not too far at all - off to RUH then? Ohh how exciting! Good luck - maybe when you are settled we could meet in bath for a coffee? Hope all goes well for you!

Post-op pain relief is brilliant, IGW, honestly. I had less than great post-section experiences but none of them was to do with pain relief. Voltarol is the tops.
Am swooning with horror at bundle whipping out her own catheter though .
Best of luck, enforce the take-it-easy rule afterwards and I bet all will be fine!

Hi
have not read all the thread - seems to involve lots of dif. foods.
I had emerg cs - took weeks to recover. Then had a planned cs - which was wonderful; dreamlike . complete control, suoer fast recovery and no side effects.

enjoy the morning off, and enjoy your baby!
good luck, good vibes!

intergalacticwalrus · 05/09/2006 15:28

Had a Emergency C-sectiuon with my last and can't say I found it that painful...granted more painful as my previous 2 natural Births, but was expecting much worse...and as I was breastfeeding I didn't take much for painrelief neither....but go by how you feel, cos there is no point in suffering with pain!
Hope all goes well!

buktus · 05/09/2006 20:06
