Had horrible SPD from very early on with dd and 14 months on after the birth I'm still in quite a lot of pain.

Dh will not contemplate having another baby now having seen what I went through last time.

Does it come back the next time?

Have had it with all 3 pg but was better with no3. I had been doing pilates for about 1yr before falling pg and physio agreed that this may of helped as everything was much tighter.

I agree that the Pilates could help -I had SPD with my second and could feel the effects for ages after I had him until I started Pilates and thats helped massively. It seems to concentrate on the right areas

Hi. My first two pregnancys were a doddle so when I had spd with my third I was really shocked. I had it pretty badly and found looking after two small children very difficult and turning over in bed in the night often left me in tears! I had some chiropractic treatment after the birth of my baby and found it helped. when I became pregnant with my fourth I was horrified of the prospect of repeat spd so went to see a osteopath straight
away...... But it never returned agian and other than the usual discomfort I had a normal pregnancy!! maybe the osteopath worked or maybe I just did'nt get it agian. Who knows!! So don't put off having more children on the if chance.
