I have ds(3yrs.)& dd(15mths.)& am considering having 3rd but both my previous labours & deliveries left me with a Rectocele, which wasn't too bad after 1st delivery but got much worse after 2nd.I don't understand why it got so bad after 2nd delivery as it was quite a straightforward ,unassisted, short pushing stage labour whereas 1st delivery was LONG ,with eventual ventouse after 2hrs. pushing!.The only thing I can think for it getting lot worse is closeness of births?Anyway,I was wondering if anyone has any advice about this problem,am I mad to even consider another baby when I have this prob.?,Would I be offered c-section because of rectocele?I know can have operation to fix rectocele/pelvic floor,if I was to speak to G.P. about this would he say no point in having repair op. if considering having more of family orm would I be offered op. irrespective ofwether I was having more or not?.BTW,I am not in any pain /discomfort "down there" its just that I feel abnormal compared to other women who've had babies (or maybe its more common than I think just no-one talks about it!)Sorry this thread is bit personal/embarassing ,but would appreciate any advice so I could stop worrying about it so much.

I have a small rectocele and have had a bladder repair, (only after finishing my family)
But they would not do anything to the rectocele

  • as its best left alone (I have got a variety of coping techniques) and it doesn't bother me too much unless I don't go as soon as I need to.
