How much risky is a third section over a second one?

Does the risk increase by much does anyone know?

Think I'd be too full of fear to attempt a vba2c bit I'm also a bit scared that a third section might be much more risky.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I was told after my 2nd c section that I should avoid a third because the scar tissue is thin...and that it can rupture just through a pregnancy..not even the OP. Saying that, my midwife had had FOUR sections with no issues.

I was told after my 2nd section that I would be absolutely fine to have another- I think it depends on the person and the state of your scar tissue etc

Actually I was told I was fine too, although it was nearly 9 years ago too so hopefully ok. I mean more the risk of of things like placenta accents, haemorrhage etc. x

I'm having my 3rd c-section in just over 3 years in 3 weeks (theme of "3's" here). I've seen two OB's and neither have had any concerns about risks. The GP I saw a few weeks ago (only once) was encouraging me to consider a VBA2C but my OB's didn't like that option and I had yet to see and OB here (we just moved here 6 weeks ago). I mentioned it to the OB I saw at the hospital today and he said having a VBAC was highly unadvisable - not impossible but he wouldn't recommend it and didn't like the risks associated with having a VBA2C. I'm very comfortable having another c-section and have known several people who have had 3. I think if it was an issue, your OB would have mentioned it after your last c-section.

I'd love to have a VBA2C but suffer from health anxiety so just don't think it's be good for me or the baby to be constantly worrying.

Thank you decisionagain, it's such a difficult choice to make but I think if have a fight on my hands at my local hospital if I pushed for a vba2c, as they won't induce anyone who have had a previous section or readily support Vbacs.
