I'm only at No2 and both true so far. My sis expecting her 3rd and thinking of homebirth but worried as everyone says 3rd birth hardest.

First was shortest and quickest - 2 hours 35 minutes from first contraction although was in hospital for 1.5 hours before contractions started because I had started to bleed. Smallest born - 6 lbs 10 oz.

Second was next shortest - 4 hours 15 minutes from first contraction. Second smallest - 7 lbs 4 oz.

Third was longest - 4.5 hours from first contraction. Biggest of my 3 - 7 lbs 15 oz.

We'll see
1 ds = 43 minutes
2 dd = 47 minutes
3 ?? due mar 07...
I'm hoping for a homebirth!

not in my case
1st - longest
2nd - about average & easy
3rd - about average & easy

Lots of false labour with third

my 3rd was super easy.
3 hours and 3 pushes
4th was a little longer but equally easy

both at home

1st two at hospital and induced so completely different kettle of poisson

Not true for me.

Ds1 was the longest and hardest and I was very lucky to avoid a c/s.

Ds2 the shortest.

Dd was only difficult in the sense that the MW spent most of my labour rushing off to make last-minute arrangements for her adult daughter's party and refused to believe I was having anything more than twinges. Dd came out with pretty much no help from anyone so I might as well have had a homebirth tbh.
