I'm lying in bed with bad period-type pains. The pain isn't coming and going. What's going on??

I was very surprised to find that contractions are very much like period pains. Although they did come and go for me.... I would call your dr or midwife

My labour started as a dull ache, much like my period pain. It was also a constant pain.

I would also call MW or Dr.

I've woken up to no pain. Was it BH?! It was constant and painful x

Don't want to panic you London, but you should get checked out. I had this with my first and was placental abruption. It was just mild period type pain, but constant. I felt very silly going in (my dh insisted) but had a crash section within 2 hours. All was well in the end but You should go today.

Stripy- do you think so even though I'm not in pain this morning? X

Sorry, have had a really busy day, so missed your last post. Hope you have been checked out and all is OK. Really wasn't trying to scare you, but it's best to be on the safe side. I had a perfect pregnancy and so really wasn't on the look out for anything to go wrong. The symptoms of Placental Abruption are few; but one is constant low level period type pain. Even if it has stopped now, it may be a good idea just to call your midwife or maternity unit at least.
