Is it possible for my 1yo to sense my labour is near?

I'm due to get a stretch and sweep on wed at 39weeks, today my ds aged 1 has started being very clingy and crying hysterically when I put him down for his nap and down to bed? This is very out of character for him he's usually really good when it comes to sleep... Was wondering if he could maybe sense that i will be going into labour soon? Iv Been feeling lots of pressure low down today and have been losing my plug for the past week or so... Any input much apreciated Smile (sorry for the essay)

I don't know. It's quite possible that he may be picking up on some aspect of your mood, especially if you're feeling at all tense?

Or it might be nothing whatever to do with that Smile

I'd say yes. I think babies are so intune they do know instinctively what's happening.
I had a MC in sept and the evening before my bleed my 18 month old was acting really odd, not moving from me crying a lot, breast feeding like a mad person I'm sure he knew something had happened.
I'm now pregnant again and even before I tested he kept laying on my belly (not usual) and again feeding loads. When I got my BFP I told him there was a baby in my belly - not thinking he'd have a clue, and he said yes baby lol. Everyday he says hiya baby and rubs my tummy (I'm 9 weeks so not showing). I think thy are more aware than we know and I believe we lose/ignore that intuition as we grow older.
Good luck with your labour lovely Christmas present

My DD has started being clingy and waking in the night... I am 39 wks... turns out she has a massive tooth coming so it might be unrelated but then it could!

I don't think so, they get clingy etc; in phases, it could just be developmentally related. Also, you're probably feeling a bit worried and stressed- little facial and body signals show this, and a 1yo is normally very intune with their mother and will be able to feel very subtle changes in the manner or expressions.
