I'm only 6 weeks preg but off to see the GP tomorrow and I know he will ask which hospital I want to be referred to

Went NHS at St George's last time but the "care" was dire
My other NHS option would be St Thomas' and I know they have a private wing

Any other options in London apart from the Portland or St John & Elizabeth?

Any hints or tips? Our health insurance won't cover this so it's a big spend

SydSnow, I'm at C&W with Zoe Penn - she's lovely. Experienced, straightforward, calm, good communicator and down to earth. Her partner OB is Mark Johnson, who is also very nice. I had my dd there too, and didn't have such a great experience with the OB that time (not sure I should mention him by name) though he was fine technically, he wasn't my cup of tea when it came to communication or listening to what I wanted. If you want to know more, do feel free to cat me or post again and I'll try to help!

ps the midwives, on the whole, were brilliant. Some more than others, but mostly great.
