Heart monitoring - water birth?

I am 39+2and over the last 4 days I have had a series of heart tracings as the midwives/ doctor have had concerns about the baby's heart rate and movements - was kept in overnight and came close to being induced yesterday but am home now and just waiting for baby to appear (with an appointment for later in the week for another tracing as a precaution).
I was really hoping to use the birthing pool but am now a bit worried that if they decide the baby's heart needs to be monitored regularly during labour it won't be possible. It's not the end of the world if I can't use the pool, I just want what is best for baby, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and could tell me how their labour went?!

Hi I need continuous monitoring as I am VBAC am currently 40+3. I am having a water birth using continuous monitory it's a remote system. Ask what types of continuous monitoring your unit offers
good luck

Only a few units offer continuous monitoring in the pool. It requires special equipment.

Generally, if there is any suspicion that you are no longer "low risk" the use of the pool is unlikely to be offered under most units protocols. Only a few offer VBAC/remote monitoring option.

If using the pool is very important to you I would ask a senior midwife urgently what my options are.
