Hi everyone, I'm 35+3 weeks pregnant and my midwife has referred me to consultant about being induced. I've got this appointment on Wednesday but not sure what will happen.... I've had a horrible pregnancy suffering with a hernia and my midwife said I should have no problem getting induced. Does anyone know if the consultant will give me a induction date at my appointment or will I have to wait? I know it won't be until I'm at least 37 weeks but would Be nice to know what to expect? Smile

They will opt for induction because hopefully that will reduce your carrying time and therefore not put the hernia through unnecessary strain. I would think if the decision to induce is down to the consultant then he will make a decision when he sees you if he thinks it is warranted. I had a 27h labour with ds1 but was induced with ds2 and it was 4h50 from start to finish..meaning the body is under strain for less time. Lots of love to you and wishing you all the best. Trust the experts to make the best decision for you: they have done this a few times before x x

You'll probably discuss your induction plan and agree on a date, I'd imagine.
