I am seriously freaking out right now.

I'm 36 week and have got rectocele and cyctocele prolapse which has gradually got worse over each of my 3 pregnancies.

It was worse than its ever been, I had problems passing urine and constipation/diareahh lts of pain when on my feet too much and pain when having sex etc also a feeling of everything falling out when I sit on loo.

Saw consultant at about 28 weeks and he said that I its a moderate prolapse but i should be able to have a normal vaginal birth, when I quizzed him about pain he basically said, il be in so much pain it won't make a difference...

Anyway I'm now 36 week and have terrible stomach pains so went to loo sat trying to push had that falling out feeling and felt inside my vagina and its completely closed as the prolapse has come right down I'm not sure if its bladder or bowel.
I'm in so much pain Confused

I feel sick and disgusting :( and how the hell is anything going to come out of there without ripping out my bladder/bowel or whatever the hell it is I felt???

I feel so worried right now calling midwife tomorrow I want to see another consultant, it's so much worse than before, I'm only 25 I feel like a monster and its making me so depressed :'(

Anyone ever given birth with prolapse?

Is this why I have such bad tummy and back pain?
Will I have to have a c-sec? I'm terrified of that.

Do you think there is a chance I could be induced early? My last baby was a good size and I'm measuring up perfect for my dates. The bigger the baby is getting the worse its getting :(

There's a very long running thread on all things prolapse here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/general_health/1688913-Pt-7-Feb13-Any-old-prolapse-Uterus-womb-prolapse-rectocele-cystocele-enterocele-urethrocele-incontinence-pelvic-floor-anterior-and-posterior-repair-TVT-etc
I'd suggest posting there for advice. I'm sure one of the posters there will have the experience to help.
I'm a fellow prolapse sufferer and sympathise, because it is grim. I don't know anything about how it effects giving birth since I have no intention of going there again!!! Hope you find some help on the other thread.

Do I just add it to the end of that thread? Sorry not very familiar with mums net x

Yes, just add your post to the end. Hope you get some helpful responses.

Sorry to hear that. I had a minor prolapse repair op after my daughter was born three years ago and was told I'd definitely have a csection for future babies. I'm pregnant again and personally relieved I'll be having one. Perhaps I've been advised of this because I've already had the repair and they don't want to undo the good work. Either way, I'd have thought you'd be entitled to a caesarean if you want one and repair surgery after. I hope a different consultant is more helpful. I'm 25 too.

No experience of prolapse but I, too, was terrified of c section and ended up having to have an emergency one. hypnotherapy helped me (I'd done a hypnobirthing course and used it to help myself stay calm) and the whole thing was far less terrifying than I had imagined. If it had been a planned c sec I could have prepared for I think it would have been even less overwhelming.

Secondly, and this is very important, it was not that painful to recover from. They're was a bad first night, but I have grievance who had vaginally births who say exactly the same thing. The recovery after that was great. I was driving and managing normal activities 2 weeks later. Par please don't rule out c section of its the best thing for you and it sounds like it might be. Happy to tell you more if that would help. Just send me a private message x

I'm in a similar position at 30 weeks, 2nd pregnancy and rectocele. Consultant I saw last week basically ruled out need for c- section as 'the damage had already been done', but that surgery would probably be advisable after I stop having children. This hasn't helped to reduce my anxiety levels at all. Ive made a self referral appt for gynae pyhsio but that's not for another month and exercises aren't going to fix the current issue. I've just bought the natal hypnobirthing CD to see if I can get my head in a better space about this, but I intend to have some seriously detailed chats with my midwife in the coming weeks about what can be done to prevent any further damage second time round. This isn't much help in terms of advice for you, but if I get anything more informative back from my midwife, I'll repost.
