Lochia - not much bleeding day 2?

Hi, I have just had DC4 yesterday and my bleeding seems really light. It is pinky red, no clots, and I am only changing the pad every 4 hrs or so, not really needing to. I am having horrible after pains and back ache.
I am not seeing a midwife till day 5 (really shocked by this) and haven't been looked at since birth. My tummy is still very round.
I do think my bleeding has got lighter with each child, but this seems oddly light - not knocking it, it is great! But is it normal?

My bleeding was quite light after ds2 but got heavier a few days later.

If you're concerned, call your midwife or the delivery suite and ask them, especially as you're having abdominal pain. Could be fine but no harm in asking.

I would consider getting checked, but more because of the abdo pain really. I had retained product after DD, and went from stupidly light bleeding to losing over a pint in half an hour, so do please be careful

I didn't have much bleeding with mine, definitely not the intense bleeding I had expected. Lasted about a week and then didn't need a pad.

My loss was initially really heavy with DS1, then almost disappeared and then came back with a vengeance, really heavy & loads of clotting. I also had some cramping / tenderness round abdomen and it ended up being an infection so I'd def give mw / GP a ring.

Just to close thread, now on day 7, still not a lot of blood, midwife says uterus where it should be (afterpains doing their job) and placenta obviously just came away very cleanly, so not to worry, sometimes there just isn't a lot of blood. Hurrah!
