Just wondering really as i went into labour at 10.30-11 at night with ds and my dm said her mum had her and her brother at night as did she with me.
also noticed on mn that most women are going into labour at night or early hours of the morning.

I went into labour at 11 in the morning and had my baby in my arms at 3:30 in the afternoon on the same day! Thought I was dying!

Most women do go into labour during the night. It's because adrenaline is making it harder for your body to go into labour.

Bright light, like sunlight, does make your adrenaline level to go up. Not as high as when you're panicking. But higher then when you're in dimmed light or in the dark. Like at night time.

My 2nd delivery that I had started at day time. I was at home. My son and husband were also at home. I did feel a bit of pain in the belly. I went to sit in front of the television to watch a film. Making myself as comfortable as possible.

The pain changed and I wasn't sure if it was going to continue. Then after some hours it was clear that I was in labour.
Someone came to look after our son and we went to the hospital.

With my first one the pain of the contractions woke me up at 6 am.
With my 3rd I woke up at 4am because my water broke. A bit later the contractions started and we went to the hospital.
