Is anyone giving birth alone?

Looks like I'll have to be. We have no childcare arrangements for dc1 and running out of time.

Dh and I are sad he won't get to see dc2 born.

With my last 2 babies i was indifferent about dp being at the birth. I gave birth in a birth center with both of them so dp could have stayed the night but i didn't really feel the need for him to stay.

Its about how you feel...

I hope you manage to sort some childcare or find peace in the decision to be by yourself.

Your thread made me cry! Being pregnant doesn't help. I'm in notting hill and you can borrow my nanny if you'd like!

I've volunteered her with permission she asked why I was sad, and I told her and she said she would love to help. x

Without wanting to I gave birth to my 2nd child on my own, hospital didn't ring my partner or my sister in time so they missed the birth, but I can tell u I much preferred that to my 1st child, with my 2nd I went in the delivery room gave birth and was on a ward fairly quickly, there was no one fussing me or rubbing my back or talking jibberish just to say something, I went in cracked on with it listened to the midwives and was sitting up having tea by the time my hubby got there! Nice and easy no stress no fuss! X

Hi I just saw your message and my heart went out to you. I am a trainee doula based in east London I have attended 5 births already and would be very willing to offer my help if it was needed. I know how important it is to have the right support during birth and am not charging at the moment as I have not finished all my training but have references if you needed them.
