First chance he will have had to see my notes from ds' emcs. I know that there is a comment on them from surgeon suggesting I have a tiny pelvis. Ds was 9lbs 7oz with huge head and v, v long.
? Is should I expect to be having a scan tomorrow? I feel like I probably won't be offered one but that if the consultant actually had my notes at the first appointment and knew about the pelvic issue then, I may well have already had an extra scan Confused
Any advice on this v welcome. All seeming v real now and I just don't know what to do re: vbac vs elcs

I don't know about pelvic scans - though my midwife mentioned them a d said they no longer do them as they aren't very helpful. I had a 36 week appt last week for dc2 as its breech and all they did was palpitate etc, confirmed if was still breech and made me an appt for 38 weeks to feel again and for a scan. I think as its second they're hoping it has more room to turn so they don't need to talk about ecv/elcs etc. however as you've previously had an emcs they won't be so keen to do an ecv and a lot feel ds on position of breech as well. I'd mentally prepare yourself for an elcs unless you're desperate for a vbac and baby has turned. Although they may not want to talk about it for a few weeks if they want to see what baby does.

Feel ds = depends! Stupid phone!

Had a scan and she is head down now but consultant raised more issues for me to think about having seen my notes from Ds.
I had a tear during csec so have horizontal and vertical scar tissue which increases the risk of uterine rupture by a lot. He estimated at going from a risk of 1/100 to 1/50 which is a big jump.
I'm just so torn as to what to do. Had an awful labour but fully dilated, Ds was back to back which stopped him descending and ended in theatre. Awful recovery memories from that so part of me wants to avoid that and the no driving etc that comes with surgery but part of me thinks this will all end in another emcs anyway especially as am measuring over size for weeks. Gah........ Need a crystal ball!

Personally I'd go for an elective. Not that I have any experience of recovery from one but had an horrendous forceps delivery with dc1 and it took months and months to recover. So I don't really think vaginally delivering is all that easier! Hard choice though, good luck :)

neiffer thanks so much for replying. It does help and assisted delivery does really worry me as I know she's going to be big.
Hopefully will make a decision once I have chance to speak to Dh
