when pregnant with my son who is now 7 i had a great pregnancy. i am only 5ft 1 but went upto just under 12stone. i had a membrane sweep at 42 weeks which began my labour. my boy was back to back with me and after a very long and exhausting labour using gas and air my baby became distressed. i was 19 at the time and when i eventually began pushing my sons head became wedged. should they have realised this before labour? should i have gon to 42 weeks when i was almost 19? and also i wonder why they didnot try to manouvre him with their hands on my stomach to remove him from being back to back? he still has a big head now which he gets from me unfortunately. i was still urged to push to get him out immediately to no such avail. i am just wondering if this should have been encouraged or if forceps would have helped? i can remember the shape of my sons head when i first held him after the emergency section. i was quite ill after the birth which scared me when i became pregnant for a second time because although my pregnancy was fantastic nothing went right with the birth. i later found out that the chord was wrapped around his neck causing further problems. he is in good health now however i am a little worried he has adhd?? im not certain but dont know if i should ignore my feelings as im sure his teachers would have picked up on this condition??
