I've seen this mentioned a few times recently & I'm curious! If I understand correctly, it basically involves not removing the placenta & cord until they drop off after a few days. Is that right? What would one do with them until they dropped off? Tuck them inside the nappy? Wouldn't it start to smell? Why would someone choose to do it - are there any benefits? I'm assuming it's to try & keep everything 'natural' but surely baby animals don't wander around with their placentas hanging off for a few days?!
There must be someone on MN who can answer my questions! There's always someone on MN who knows about such things!
