I'm pretty sure I'm in the latent phase - back ache and period pains. How long was this for you? This is my 2nd labour but I suddenly feel unprepared, I've no idea if I should be waking DS and getting him to the in laws for the night or waiting it out to see if I make it till the morning.
I did tell baby not to arrive till its convenient but I'm not sure it heard me

Hi there! It can be hours yet before proper contractions etc. if you would prefer nothing to happen why don't you draw a bath and pop in to that and relax a little. Also try to go to bed for some sleep or at least rest as if it does start properly in a few hours you might be glad of the rest.

If I were you I might let in laws know that you might be I latent phase and for them not to be sh

Oh dear, posted too soon! On phone...

Anyway, was going to say so they aren't shocked. Maybe also get sons things ready in case you need to have him collected/dropped over. But after that try to rest!

Get as much sleep as you can - I had this for four days with DC1 before it turned into proper contractions.

I second zuleika, get a load of sleep. Both times in my labours I stupidly stated up for god only knows how long and it took around two days in total to actually deliver. I was trying to be active but didnt realise I should really have been resting and eating well whilst I could. Sleep as much as you can because the contractions can knock the stuffing out of you later on and you don't want to enter the transition/pushing stage feeling absolutely exhausted. Very excited for you!!! Please update us :)
