Just wanted to ask you a question about labour starting - am a week over due date (don't know if you remember pupuce, but went 14 days over with dd when was musica and you were very helpful then!). Am having fairly regular pains in lower back - but not really progressing to anything - could this be the start of labour and it be going slowly or is baby in bad position? If you've got any thoughts I'd be really grateful. This will be 3rd birth btw!

Thanks!

Thanks for your congratulations! Ds2 is gorgeous and very good - he is very placid and awake, but feeding well (I think - I always find it difficult to tell at this stage, but he seems to know what to do!).

Labour was quite long and slow - I was anticipating that it might be quite quick, as dd had been, but in fact it was about 11 hours, taking about 4 hours to go from 6-8cm, which was very discouraging, as at that point I was very tired. Then at the end he came quite quickly - 2nd stage was only about 2 mins, and just felt horrible! He was born with me standing up which wasn't part of my plan, but seemed to help get him out! Anyway, he is lovely and worth it, though not sure I could go through that again! Horrid afterpains now - will be glad when they all stop.

Thanks again for advice and good wishes! xxx
